O tem, kaj lahko naredimo, da si ga zagotovimo, sem pisal \u017ee v prispevku Osem nasvetov za bolj\u0161i spanec, tokrat pa podrobneje poglejmo enega klju\u010dnih dejavnikov, ki nam zagotavlja kvaliteten spanec \u2013 melatonin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Melatonin je naravni hormon, ki ga proizvaja \u017eleza \u010de\u0161erika. Izlo\u010da se v temi, njegova naloga pa je, da regulira cikle budnosti in spanja ter nam na naraven na\u010din pomaga zaspati. Poleg tega ima tudi pomembno vlogo pri spodbujanju globokega, krep\u010dilnega spanca ter pri delovanju imunskega sistema.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u010ce\u0161erika proizvede najve\u010d melatonina med drugo in \u010detrto uro zjutraj, proti jutru pa se njegova proizvodnja spet zmanj\u0161a. Svetloba, ki pronica v prostor, namre\u010d zavira nastanek melatonina, zato je za kvaliteten spanec pomembno, da v spalnici zagotovimo popolno temo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Te\u017eava pa ni le svetloba v spalnici. S staranjem namre\u010d telo proizvaja vedno manj melatonina, zaradi \u010desar je vse te\u017eje zaspati. Posledice se ka\u017eejo v slab\u0161i kvaliteti spanca in \u0161tevilnih no\u010dnih prebujanjih, zaradi katerih prihaja do utrujenosti, razdra\u017eenosti ter motenj koncentracije in spomina \u010dez dan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Glede na to, da staranja pa\u010d ne moremo ustaviti, nam ne preostane drugega, kot da poskusimo proizvodnjo melatonina spodbuditi. To lahko naredimo na razli\u010dne na\u010dine:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Vsaj eno uro na dan (najbolje zjutraj) pre\u017eivimo na son\u010dni svetlobi. Ta namre\u010d spodbudi izlo\u010danje serotonina, ki se kasneje pretvori v melatonin.<\/li>\n<li>U\u017eivajmo dovolj polnovredne hrane, predvsem stro\u010dnic, \u017eit, soje in alg. Precej melatonina vsebujejo tudi paradi\u017enik, banane, ingver, je\u010dmen in ri\u017e.<\/li>\n<li>Zve\u010der zmanj\u0161ajmo osvetlitev prostorov, v katerih se zadr\u017eujemo. Poskrbimo za trdo temo v spalnici.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u010ce nam kljub vsemu ne uspe dose\u010di \u017eelenega u\u010dinka, lahko v skrajnem primeru pose\u017eemo tudi po sinteti\u010dnem melatoninu v obliki prehranskega dopolnila. Ta deluje kot uspavalo, poleg tega pa nam pomaga obnoviti zdrav ritem spanja in spalnih ciklov. Za razliko od klasi\u010dnih uspaval uporaba melatonina ne moti trdnega spanca in REM spanja, prav tako pa ne povzro\u010da odvisnosti, niti simptomov odtegnitvene krize ob prenehanju uporabe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u010ceprav se uporaba melatonina v dolo\u010denih primerih odsvetuje (na primer v kombinaciji s steroidi, v \u010dasu nose\u010dnosti in dojenja, v primeru du\u0161evnih bolezni, hudih alergij ali avtoimunskih obolenj), pa po drugi strani koristi vsem, ki imajo te\u017eave s spanjem ali pa do\u017eivljajo velik fizi\u010dni ali psihi\u010dni stres.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u010ce se torej zbujate utrujeni in razdra\u017eeni, se razlog najverjetneje skriva v pomanjkanju melatonina.
